Because of a translation mistake, the coin case text is improperly terminated, making the game jump to $E112 every time used. Using stack manipulation and long jumps, it is possible to redirect the instruction pointer to $D61A, which is the second boxed item's quantity.
The example here is a (not so small) program, which displays the first Pokemon's nickname instead of the amount of coins, as long the nickname is less than 10 characters.
