Pokemon Emerald Rogue is a Pokemon Emerald rom hack that takes the core gameplay of Pokemon and turns it into a roguelike, this means areas are randomly generated using pre-existing routes, perma-death similar to a nuzlocke, and randomized trainer teams with gym leaders still being type based, there are a ton of customizable options like difficulty, item spawn rates, level caps, and so much more.
This video is my very first blind attempt of the rom hack, knowing absolutely nothing about how it works, although ultimately losing I found myself enjoying this rom hack a lot and plan to make more videos about future runs I do, with my ultimate goal to beat the game to unlock “post-game” content, which further expands different features like more usable Pokemon, megas, and z-moves.
You can download the rom hack from PokeCommunity (link below), I do not recommend downloading it from other websites as they can be sketchy, there are many patching tutorials so it’s not hard to get the file to work.
