Fun fact, brawly is actually lower leveled than Vanilla RSE. But he is a major step up in difficulty over Roxanne. Tyrogue evolves at level 15 now, so you'll be facing against the Hitmontrio, and other fighting types. This is a rough one, because Status moves may at best are useless, at worst, powers up most of Brawly's pokemon.
I suppose it's my fault for not finding a more useful pokemon than Numel, but will be necessary in the future.
Every time Brawly switches out a pokemon with Fake Out, you'll have to deal with that move again, and you can't heal.
What's worse is that its completely random if Hitmontop will just kill Numel or swap to poliwrath.
I got seriously annoyed by that freeze hax. One other danger is Poliwrath's hypnosis. Only reason why I didn't use chesto berries was safeguard, and the need for oran berries.
Hitmonchan and Hitmonlee are very speedy. Keep psychic types away from Hitmonchan, Meditite, and Hariyama unless you are sure you can outspeed and revenge kill them off.
Stuff with mud shot can be very helpful. Defensive water types as well. Fearow could hurt them, but Fake Out and Rock Tomb will make this rather stressful.
Hitmontop and Hitmonchan also have Mach Punch.
Meditite can be surprisingly reseliant, and it hits harder than almost all of them.
Protip, don't skip the rival in Rustboro, you'll need that combat exp to get ahead.
And don't get any cute ideas of trying to postpone this fight after Flannery.
No bulk up because Brawly didn't use Bulk up (that, and bulk up is unbelievably overpowered, almost as much as calm mind and dragon dance. It breaks the game.)
