In 1994, Norman Miller approached songwriters Greg Nelson and Bob Farrell and asked them to compose an original musical work portraying the life of Christ, filled with Christian music’s finest voices and most talented musicians, majestic choirs and rich orchestral arrangements, all in the successful tradition of the New Young Messiah. The result was the album “Emmanuel: a Musical Celebration of the Life of Christ.” Produced by Greg Nelson, the project featured artists such as Sandi Patty, Susan Ashton, Michael W. Smith and Amy Grant, as well as Point Of Grace and Clay Crosse, who collaborated together on the song “Follow The Star,” a powerful ballad about surrendering everything and following Jesus.
