The Court of Broken Knives features beautifully written prose and plenty of violence and severely-flawed characters. So basically, everything I wanted. Sometimes there's was more telling than showing, most of the time it was more showing than telling when it comes to the more violent moments. The characters...one in particular who has a dark secret really makes this book shine.
