You've seen him with the cherries. Now here's Jim Dunlop on the podcast.
Full episode: loom.ly/PzngoDc
Jim is one of AEA's Senior Agronomists. He works in the Pacific Northwest in cherries, apples, blueberries, onions, potatoes, & pasture, including with some large and well-known farms, like Alexandre Family Farm, Orchard View Cherries, and more.
Recently Jim has dialed in on low sugar as the source of so many problems he sees in the field, including poor nitrogen processing, low calcium uptake, and "the ammonium death spiral": when plants already have high ammonium and start photorespiring to make more ammonium.
On the Regenerative Agriculture Podcast, Jim and John Kempf discuss:
➡️ Using sap analysis to get an overall picture of a plant's metabolic bottlenecks, instead of individual nutrient levels
➡️ The benefits of adding small amounts of sugar to foliar sprays
➡️ Using AEA’s precision blends to help farmers cut application costs
➡️ The synergy of pairing fertigation and foliar applications
➡️ How Pinion's success against powdery mildew is "one of the hugest things I've ever seen in agriculture"
