The Fiberside Summer Crawl is an annual event, bringing you into the spaces of many of the local yarn shops that participate in, and support, the Fiberside Chats hosted by Longmont Yarn Shoppe. Barb and Cynthia are pleased to announce that we're rebranding. Effective Monday, July 10, you'll be able to find us at yarniversity.ca (as well as by our old address: rivercityyarns.com).
For many years, Barb and Cynthia owned and operated a beautiful yarn shop in Edmonton called River City Yarns. They brought in yarns from all over the world, taught classes and held events to support their local community. In a desire to reach more people, they started a podcast, opened an online store and travelled all over the world in search of great teachers, ideas and techniques to bring back to Edmonton. In 2023, Barb and Cynthia made the decision to retire from retail sales and concentrate on the community building, teaching and design side of the business.
"We had the dream of creating an online place for you to come for motivation, ideas and how to make it happen. We're bringing the best instructors to you. We have a great design line that keeps growing and we're building a crafting community that is supportive and engaging."
To complete this dream, we're rebranding. We hope you'll continue to journey along with us!
