Not all avionics upgrade projects incur months of downtime and cost tens of thousands of Dollars. A good, modern audio panel can make a big difference, depending on what is installed in your aircraft today.
In this video, I am installing the PS Engineering PMA450B. It is pin-compatible with my PMA8000BT and also with the Garmin GMA430 audio panel frequently found in older setups, and replacing especially these older audio panels with a new one can greatly increase the comfort on flights: streaming music through Bluetooth in high quality, automatic squelch control, and the "IntelliAudio" spatial audio mapping which makes it easy to listen to two radios at once, to give just a few examples.
