Prime Minister Narendra Modi presents a collection of exquisite Indian gifts to the presidents and first families of Kyrgyzstan and Uzbekistan, highlighting India’s rich cultural, artistic and craft traditions.
The gifts include a 10-volume English translation of the Mahabharata, a traditional Ladakhi Sugudul blanket, a Dhokra artwork depicting traditional musicians, a sandalwood Santoor, premium Kangra tea, a handwritten score sheet of Uzbek chess champion Javokhir Sindarov, and an intricate marble-inlay decorative plate.
The gifts presented to the Uzbek First Family include a marble-inlay casket with a Banarasi silk stole and a finely crafted silver brooch. Each gift reflects India’s centuries-old craftsmanship, musical traditions, textiles, literature and cultural heritage, while highlighting the deep civilizational and cultural connections between India, Kyrgyzstan and Uzbekistan.
