Prime Minister Narendra Modi is visiting the Kyrgyz Republic at the invitation of President Sadyr Japarov to attend the SCO Summit in Bishkek. The summit marks 25 years of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization, with regional security, connectivity and counterterrorism among the key issues in focus. PM Modi is also set to attend the opening ceremony of the sixth World Nomad Games, celebrating the rich cultural heritage of Central Asia. He has also held several bilateral meetings with world leaders on the sidelines of the summit.
