Storytelling is an important aspect of human interactions, it informs how we relate to each other and to ourselves. For far too long, multiplicity has been disrespectfully and inaccurately portrayed in media, with only a few respectful representations that are few and far between. But people are working to change that, there is a media movement of Own Voices that is rising up to tell the world that This Is Our Story. It takes immense courage and strength to share something so vulnerable, but we need to use our voices to turn the tides. How will you tell your story?
I have studied at university and completed a Bachelor of Animal Science, Graduate Diploma of Arts, and currently studying a Masters in Teaching (Secondary), I have spent much of my life studying and thinking a great deal about many things. We discovered our multiplicity around 2014-2015. At the time, media was a significant part of our lives (reading, watching tv and movies, etc), and yet no representation of multiplicity ever felt representative of our experiences. In fact, seeing media representations made us deny plurality for longer because we didn't fit what we had seen. Since then, I've often thought about how poor multiplicity (more specifically, DID) representation is, and how often unintentional/non-explicit representation feels more accurate, so I recently started a podcast discussing this. But I have never found anything more accurate and powerful than reading and watching stories from multiples and their own lived experiences, and these stories have been my guiding light in my own healing journey.

Title of the session: Safer Support Groups: Facilitation for belonging, inclusion & empowerment
Possible trigger warnings: Mention various undesirable and toxic individual and group behaviors, and the problems caused by idolizing group owners, organizers or facilitators. Also mentions poor group boundaries and issues around shaming or exiling group members that we touched on in our 2022 conference sessions.
Session description: Plurals start many groups but dont necessarily understand how to run safer groups that provide an atmosphere that helps encourage learning, healing & growth. This session will explicitly discuss what we get from support groups, pitfalls, facilitation skills, handling various undesriable behaviors, how to create a culture of saftey & empowerment, and some of the steps in creating a support group. The hope is that we can foster belongingness and help each other heal.

Au travers de notre prise de parole, on souhaite monter que la multiplicité peut se mélanger avec un trouble de lhumeur, et que les deux ne sont pas incompatible. En espérant que cela aidera dautres personnes en questionnement, ou à déculpabiliser de la vie avec ces troubles de lhumeur.

Title of the session: One or several wolves: schizoanalysis from/of a plural perspective
Please be aware that this session will contain discussions on psychiatry, war, the digestive system, and political protests.
Session description: Gilles Deleuze and Pierre-FĂ©lix Guattari pioneered the concept of schizoanalysis, a critical practice and social analysis that centres schizophrenic ways of looking at ideas. Central to their thinking is the concept of the rhizome, a nonlinear, nonhierarchical way of organising ideas that allows topics to be viewed in a complex, chaotic and multiplicitous way rather than as a simple tree of ideas. This talk explores and plays with the idea of the rhizome, providing examples and using it as a lens through which to view various plurality-related topics.
Presenter bio: The Anserines are a plural system of around 12 members, depending on when you ask. They write music, lyrics and stories, some of which relate to plural experiences, and take a keen interest in philosophical ideas about phenomenology and the nature of consciousness.
