You've probably heard these terms in one way or another. Whether it's Architect, Pantser, Outliner, Discovery writer, Plotter, Gardener etc.
They all mean two things. You either plan your story, or you wing it and hope it develops and grows itself.
In this video I discuss how I use both methods with eachother to help me plan and develop my writing. Hopefully it will help you decide on the methods that feel most comfortable to you, but never feel like you're tied down to one camp if you ever fancy trying a new style.

Another month gone, and another video for my accountability and plans for the next four weeks. I managed to finish my monthly read, Tracker, by Bethany Votaw! I really enjoyed this book so be sure to check it out in the link below!
Alongside that I managed to upload a single YouTube video which Im fairly happy with, attempting to up the quality and ensure any advice is concise and clear for the viewers.
And then we have editing again. Slowly but surely Ill get there, but it certainly feels like grind. Dont get me wrong, Im enjoying it but it takes so much longer to edit and tackle certain things!! Anyway, I have more tangible editing goals this month so hopefully Ill feel a bit more productive.

Honestly, I didnt have a plan and it shows (even just by the title) 😂 A mash of walking to the shops, making tea, and then eventually starting the editing process for Disarray - all while eating jelly babies and watching livestreams. It got me to start the edit eventually and once I got going I was quickly reminded just how long everything takes...
I almost binned the footage but decided to just post anyway!

I didnt quite realise Id be making another video like this so soon, but here we are! I decided once again to set the camera upon myself while working to ensure I didnt lose focus. In this video I went over my feedback and organised the notes into a list - a small task but one I kept pushing back. Ive now planned it in a way where I can work through the list from top to bottom, with quick fixes being the starting point. All of this is for my second post-apocalyptic novel, Disarray, which (as you can tell) Im currently editing.
Im still not sure if this is more of a vlog than a sprint, or even an accountability video... I guess I may switch it up as I go!

So, my thumbnail is far more concise than my actual plan for this month. Im itching to get book three completed but have ultimately decided that I need to continue with Disarray first and work with the feedback Ive recieved.
Alongside my writing goals, I also plan on getting back into reading this month... as its been a while since sitting down and taking time out to do so (classic excuse of Im far too busy to read).
