Investors recognise that limiting temperature increases to as close to 1.5°C as possible is critical to minimise system-level risks to portfolios. Yet questions remain on how investor action, and particularly stewardship, can most effectively contribute to this aim. Is the growing investor focus on real economy policy and sovereign engagement a more effective tool than corporate engagement?
This session will tackle this question head on, in a debate format, with expert speakers discussing whether investors should be prioritising engagement with policymakers, or alternatively, whether corporate engagement should remain the focus.
