The title and thumbnail is intended to help inform anybody who is still unaware of our news about Poppy.
Filmed 24/25/26 of July 2026 this video was edited and uploaded to YouTube before the passing of Poppy our beautiful girl on 12/8/26. Unbeknown to us at the time this would be the last trip in the van for the 3 of us, in a way we’re so happy she was sat on Rick’s knee for the ending of this one although she definitely wasn’t feeling herself. With hindsight we do wonder if this was the start of her not being able to cope with her kidney failure which we and the vet knew nothing of prior to her diagnosis 2 days before she passed, we had always been on top of her vet visits and the vet had shown no concern when she last visited earlier this year. For us this ending is a hard watch but we’re so thankful we have so many videos to look back on when the pain of losing her subsides. Thank you all for your kind words during this time via email and messages here plus the Facebook group - it means a lot knowing she was so loved. We’ll be back soon but haven’t been away in the van since losing Poppy so we’re out of vlogs after this one until we resume filming and editing again. Unfortunately we agreed to do a power bank review before we knew about Poppy so we’re contractually obliged to film and release that sometime in September which will come out with no reference to our loss. Moving forward we will try to record our time away when in the van and start releasing travel vlogs sometime in October if it feels right but for now we’re not thinking too much about YouTube. We won’t be doing a dedicated video about the loss but will mention it at the start of the first one we do without her just incase anyone has missed the news. So for now please stick with us and we’ll be back in some form or another soon.

We’re back in The Cotswolds for our annual trip to the Gloucestershire & Warwickshire Railway for their diesel gala, after years of staying at Cheltenham Racecourse or Broadway with the CAMC their prices have finally made us change our plans! We find a great C.S. called Red Barn Farm in Tewksbury about 3 miles away for £8 a night and decide to try that instead.
We’re Rick, Heather & our dog Poppy & we travel the U.K. in our S&L Apollo campervan.
We film places we visit & also any work done to our van, our travel videos are filmed in a diary style as a rule showing what we did throughout the day, it's not meant to educate but hopefully we'll entertain! Also please be aware we film for our own memories but we're happy to have you along for the ride, just be kind, if we're not your thing then just move along, we charge nothing to view and ask for nothing in return - apart from a like or subscribe of course!
Be aware we also occasionally review products & any product review is clearly marked as such so if reviews aren’t for you don’t feel you need to watch those. Doing reviews allows us to continue to support the channel via company contributions rather than asking subscribers for a few quid!
