Growing up, there was nothing like opening a new PlayStation game on Christmas morning. Seeing the case under the tree, ripping off the plastic, reading the manual on the way home... those memories were part of what made Christmas special. But as gaming continues moving toward digital purchases, subscriptions, and consoles without disc drives, I can't help but feel like that experience is slowly disappearing.
