With the PS5 Pro now on the market, all eyes are shifting toward what Sony has in store next, and speculation around the PlayStation 6 is ramping up. Although Sony hasn’t officially confirmed the PS6, there are strong signs that development is already in progress. In early 2024, Sony’s Senior Vice President Naomi Matsuoka told Bloomberg that the PS5 is entering the "latter stage" of its life cycle. While she didn’t explicitly mention a new console, her statement strongly suggests that Sony is already planning ahead. Given the company’s usual release cadence, the PS6 could be just a few years away.
