Sega's Model 1 arcade classic is back! We're checking out the brand-new 2026 PC port of Virtua Racing (version 1.0.2), featuring 4K upscaling, widescreen support, and full 8-player online multiplayer.
This isn't just a basic emulator wrapper. This incredible fan project brings Virtua Racing to modern hardware with massive quality-of-life improvements while keeping the iconic flat-shaded polygons intact. In this video, we test out the new online cross-play lobbies, mess with the visual options like the new CRT filters and draw-distance fade-in, and see how the Model 1 classic holds up today.
