On July 15, 2013, while circumnavigating Iceland with Lindblad Expeditions, my friends and I played EXTREME Scrabble while sitting ON the Arctic Circle (on the island of Grimsey). In the end, master Scrabble player Kathy Altaras won, but we all had a blast playing high-scoring words in the midnight sun. (With help from Annie Griffiths, Kathy Altaras, Brian Gratwicke, Lisa Kelley & Chris Rainier)
