Finally playing Minish Cap. Again. I've never recorded it for the channel but I have played it before and even replayed it before. I love this game. I would say it's somewhat underrated but on the internet things that are generally underrated get a boost in popularity for that reason so it's not totally uncommon on the internet to see people praising this game. Uhhhh I don't know where I'm going with this but either way I frickin' love this game!!! It's been a while since I've uploaded, a full month in fact, but I am back and I will try to start uploading more frequently. I think I will be able to get a lot of recording and editing and uploading done in the Summer months especially. Uhhhh anyway thanks for watching and if you are still reading this thank you for reading my random rambling in the description uhhh yes. Minish Cap... let's gooooo!!! Learn how to hover with bombs in Majoras Mask. An extremely easy and useful glitch for randomizers and speedruns.
MORE INFORMATION TO HELP YOU:
I say you need to shield bomb damage, but thats actually not entirely true. Shielding any kind of damage will enable you to hover, such as the infamous Guay hover in Ocarina of Time. However, bombs/bombchus are the most easily accessible, and easily controllable form of hovering. And bombchus make it SO easy in Majoras Mask.
If you use bombs, you will have to time your backflip and shield. Hold the bomb over your head until its close to exploding, then quickly shield and backflip. If timed well, you will hover. Its not too difficult, so just practice. Watching the red flashes of the bomb can be very helpful. If you want, you can count them, Im not exactly on what flash you should shield drop and backflip, if I need to use bombs I just wait until the flashes get quick, but wait too long and youll take damage and ISG will be canceled. By the way, the reason you need ISG is because Link does not fall off of ledges or lose any height while his sword swing is active, and since ISG makes his sword swing active on every frame, he cant fall down. But he will teleport to the floor if he is close to it, which is why you need TWO explosions to get enough height when starting a hover from the ground.
You can also use Blast Mask to hover. In randomizer, you can have it so Blast Mask has no cooldown, which makes for extremely easy hovering since you wont need to expend any resources to hover. You can also do this in vanilla MM, but it will take some time to hover since you need to wait for the Blast Mask to recharge in vanilla MM. The timing is similar to the bombchu, but a little more strict and tricky in my experience. If you dont shield quickly enough, Link will take damage and the hover will be canceled. How I do it is backflip, and then shield and click B at exactly the same time.
