The NOC 3000X1 deck is the latest release from Magician, Youtuber and Entrepreneur Alex Pandrea. The decks were released as part of a social media event which included a short film by Pandrea’s friend and collaborator Nic Suriano which explains the fictional future dystopian origins of the deck. The film imagines the deck as an artifact sent back in time; the key to saving the future The decks come packaged in a standard glossy style USPCC tuck case and are available in two versions. The standard dark blue version and the limited edition white version--which was printed in an edition size of 3000. Both decks feature bright teal accents and a muted striped pattern ghosted in across the front. The back of the box features the deck name in a teal vertical graphic ribbon. The bottom features tiny ad copy and the top of the box is teal. Only the limited edition deck includes a seal--which is numbered out of the edition size of 3000.
Taking the cards out of the box reveals a spartan back design--that when compared to most NOC deck releases--is actually much more elaborate. The standard deck features as a dark navy blue field surrounded by a white poker border with an inset teal frame culminating in two teal parallelograms diagonally across from each other. The slant of the short end of the parallelograms carries through the blue field as an alternating pattern of subtle striping. These teal accents make for more interesting fanning.
