Luckily, I could find active servers (Unofficial, Nexus servers) to play on.
The server I joined was a moded PvP, with no bots.
You can still join using the Project Rome - Nexus Emulator server hook.
It's pretty simple. Make sure your BC2 is up-to-date with the latest patch.
And then install the server hook, create an account, and you're ready to play.
