Just a short, informal video shot with my Samsung Galaxy Tab. Trying out my new Kanstul Chicago Model 1000 (copy of Chicago era Benge) trumpet. It's a fun horn. Trying to get the valves broken in. They started out extremely tight.
You can barely see the other Besson/Benge Family horns sitting on the couch: an old WWII French Besson, a Benge 3X, another Kanstul, a Chicago 1001 (large bore). They are all very similar. This new Kanstul though, is really my favorite among these four. "I like that horn!"
The piece I'm playing is "Hora Staccato" by Dinicu, originally a violin piece and later adapted for trumpet.
