In this video:
An electronic toy puppy does not function. Had to determine the cause and the likelihood of repair. Ended up just being we do not have the IR remote for the toy. IR is a signal that is Pulse Width Modulated (PWM). Depending on how it is modulated the IR Detector IC will demodulate to produce the desired output in a circuit. Since I lack the tools to determine the freq w/amount of PMW to make the toy to move, we found a way to make it still somewhat functional. After the repair I wanted to do a little IR experiment that anyone can duplicate with appropriate equipment.
