We Were Never Being Boring collective is super thrilled to present Plastic Palms' new single, “Garden Get Up”. Written during the peak of the summer heat wave that swept through Turin in July 2024, this song embodies those sizzling high temperatures that meld to the notes and melodies.
A lonely garden gnome, a lazy afternoon spent inside, shutters closed, time that never seems to pass, while outside, far away, the blazing sun is out there, reminding us of our responsibilities.

After the 2023 album This Is Fun, and last May's Flip Haus EP, the Piedmont-based band is back with a double batch of new singles. “More Juice” was released in October and now comes the blazing “Garden Get Up”, which sees Plastic Palms continue to surprise audiences with a distinctive sound and eclectic influences. Glittering glam throwbacks and power pop pull you through mocking choruses and psychedelic bedroom digressions. “Garden Get Up” proves that Plastic Palms' writing, despite the musical climate, is in full bloom!

As Plastic Palms' Italian-American vocalist and guitarist Clarissa Ghelli tells us: “Garden Get Up” is about tending to an imaginary garden, about taking care of business but maybe procrastinating just a little, just enough to escape the heat of the present. The sun is too high!’
