I used a Plasma ball exciter for wireless energy.. I found that an iron core for the coil radiates pretty good and an iron core for the end of the AV plug will act some what like a ground . I tried an Aluminum core and it worked pretty good to.. I think I will try an Iron wire for the coil to see how it does.
