A Monterey County wildfire continues to spread aggressively as crews are challenged by steep terrain and plenty of vegetation to burn. The Plaskett Fire started around 11 a.m. on Aug. 26 near Willow Creek Trail and east of the Plaskett area, Cal Fire said. Mandatory evacuations are underway for the regions surrounding the burn area.
