A quick guide on how to make PLANTSPLOSIONS in Path of Exile 2 :) you can use any skill with a Poison support gem to set the explosions off (I am using Poison III in High Velocity Rounds), or a base Poison ability such as Gas Grenade.

Also, Herald of Plague is not at all required for this interaction, you can do almost exactly what is shown here without it. It's just a nice addition.
