Today, I am planting seed potatoes and servicing machinery that I have just left in the shed for 18 months and is refusing to start!

The variety of seed potato I am planting here is "Stemster" - we planted it for the first time last year & were very impressed as it is pretty drought resistant, stores well and is, most importantly, delicious!

After much planning, we left England 2 years ago to build a new life in beautiful rural Portugal #SerraDaEstrela - It's not been easy, but it has been wonderful.

I don't really know much about bees or farming or fruit, but we are trying to become less reliant on the shops and to grow more of our own produce, so we thought we'd give it all a try!
