I am planting carrots in the Spring Garden and show a few tips that have worked good for me. I loosen soil as deep as I can with a tiller and a garden fork. Using seed starting mix to cover seeds will help the little seeds make it up. After I water them in I cover the seeds with an old board to retain moisture. I will check under board everyday and remove it as soon as the first seeds start to germinate.
