Plans & elevations are essential to 3D geometry. Plans are the 2D illustration of what you would see if you looked at a 3D shape from above. When it comes to elevations, there are two types: side elevation and front elevation. It’s easy: side elevation is what you would see if you looked at the 3D shape from the side, and the same but from the front for the front elevation. Given you know the dimensions of a 3D shape, you can determine its plans and elevations; however, we can't always construct a 3D shape accurately when we only have the plans and elevations...
