The universe is full of mysteries, which is ironic considering how empty it truly is. Among the many mysterious galaxies and stars, new and old, are planets that can't be explained. Not yet at least. Some planets in this video challenge existing theories of how solar systems and stars develop in the first place, which until their discovery was seen as set in stone. Clearly they are not.
Proxima Centauri b is thought to be the closest earth like planet to us. Although this planet can be explained by science, we take a second to examine it during this video for the sake of framing. You see, Proxima Centauri is a red dwarf star - a small star that burns less brightly. It just so happens that many of our universes most mysterious places orbit closely to red dwarf stars.
