A very snowy January day at Luxembourg airport! Now I'd just arrived on a Wizz flight from Skopje and thought I'd fly back via LUX as it is a new country for me, one i'd never been to before. Shortly after I had arrived, the runway closed for snow clearing resulting in some hefty delays and even a few diversions of other inbound flights. So I was quite lucky to have made it at all. I saw this "viewing platform" on google maps and thought I'd take a walk through the snow to the spot from the terminal, which was a good 30 minute walk. I have to say the view was disappoiting and not worth the visit! Trees blocking the view and this was winter time, come spring / summer with leaves it would be worse. I stuck around for over an hour and filmed what I could before I got too cold and decided to leave and warm up.
Includes a Cargolux Italia 747, Qatar Cargo 777F, Luxair Dash8's, Ryanair, Wizz Air, Air Dolomiti ERJ190, Swiss A220 and Lufthansa CRJ900.
As I say the view is not great and not one I shall be returning to in a hurry. The conditions most certainly didn't help. You may notice some of the departing traffic doing some high power engine runs, this is to clear excess snow / ice out of the engine before the actual take off roll commences.
Thanks for Watching this video from Luxembourg
