The Pixsys TC620 is three devices in one, HMI panel, PLC runtime, and edge gateway and in this deep-dive I put all three to work on a real deployment. No fake SCADA screens, no inflated specs. Just real hardware running a real condition-monitoring pipeline from sensor to dashboard.
I take a Balluff SmartLight vibration sensor and build the full stack live: IO-Link into Modbus TCP, into a CODESYS 3.5 runtime on the TC620, out over OPC UA, through Node-RED, published to MQTT, and visualized in Grafana with Node-RED and Grafana running as rootless Podman containers on the device's Yocto Linux OS. This is edge AI inference on the floor, with no cloud round-trip.
