Watch a timelapse of my pixel art workflow as I work on Adrian, one of the fighters from The Blood of Champions! None of these sprites are finished yet—this is an early look at my development process.

My workflow usually goes like this:

Fill colors first
Outline the sprite
Add shading and final details

Sometimes I switch it up and start with the outline before filling in the colors. It all depends on the sprite and what feels most efficient during production.

I'm documenting the development of The Blood of Champions, a 2D fighting game inspired by the golden era of arcade fighters. Follow along for sprite art, animations, VFX, character design, and behind-the-scenes game development.
