The Pixel 3 XL appears to scratch very easily with the etched glass. But actually the key is leaving behind residue. While sand/dirt will scratch it you keys won't! Take a look! Just a heads up, hardened steel CAN scratch glass because it’s a 6.5 on Mohs scale. Keep that in mind. DON’T DO THIS TO YOUR PHONE AND DON’T PUT IT IN WATER WITH SOAP. This is a proof of concept and I am NOT RESPONSIBLE for any damage you cause. Also note: due to impurities or whatever unforeseen circumstances anything could scratch anything. So I won’t claim you will never get scratches. It’s very possible to have a harder mineral microscopically embedded into a softer mineral, therefore causing a scratch.
