Instead of heading straight from the ferry terminal to Lalomanu, I turned my transfer day into a mini road trip by stopping at some of Samoa's top tourist attractions along the way.

One of the highlights was Piula Cave Pool, a stunning freshwater swimming spot with crystal-clear water and a unique cave setting. If you're travelling across Upolu, it's well worth making a few stops instead of rushing to your destination.
