Vol. 4 of the Rap Battles has begun and this time, to celebrate ten years of the channel, we thought we'd look back to the "Gaming All Star Rap Battles" Era of the channel and revisit some old ideas that feel deserving of becoming reimagined in this rap battle series. Starting off, we got a really old matchup from ten years ago. Pit from Kid Icarus goes up against Kratos, the God of War to see which of these god slaying video game protagonists will be coming out on top in this rap battle. Kratos is a character and the protagonist of Santa Monica Studio's God of War series, based on Greek mythology and, later, Norse mythology. He first appeared in the 2005 video game God of War, which led to the development of eight additional titles featuring the character as the protagonist. Kratos also appears as the protagonist of the 2010 and 2018 comic series, as well as three novels that retell the events of three of the games. The character was voiced by Terrence C. Carson from 2005 to 2013, with Christopher Judge taking over the role in 2018's continuation, also titled God of War. Antony Del Rio voiced the character as a child in God of War: Ghost of Sparta.
Pit is the main protagonist of the Kid Icarus franchise. He first appeared in Kid Icarus for the Nintendo Entertainment System in 1986, followed by an appearance in Kid Icarus: Of Myths and Monsters for the Game Boy in 1991. Other than a handful of cameos, Pit didn't make another major appearance until the release of Super Smash Bros. Brawl in 2008, and again in the 2012 Nintendo 3DS title Kid Icarus: Uprising.

Shazam! is a 2019 superhero film based on the DC Comics character of the same name. Produced by New Line Cinema, DC Films, the Safran Company, and Seven Bucks Productions, and distributed by Warner Bros. Pictures, it is the seventh installment in the DC Extended Universe (DCEU). It was directed by David F. The game combines gameplay elements from Bandai Namcos Tekken series and other fighting games, such as 3D and 2D movement, with characters from the Pokémon franchise.
