My two dogs and I overnight-ed in Pisgah National Forest in order to get an early start on a big hike up to the Blue Ridge Parkway in the morning. This is my second overnight trip in my Transit Van.
The hike started at 3440 feet at the van and ended at 4686 feet at the Blue Ridge Parkway. So it was a 1528 foot climb. Most of the altitude gain was over a 1.2 mile distance
