Pisang Island off the coast of Sumatra is one of the most beautiful islands I've ever visited. It's everything you'd expect from a postcard-perfect place: White-sand beaches; warm blue waters and tall palm trees around every bend.
We took some time out from our trip on the mainland of Sumatra to visit this little island and see what we could see. It ended up being my highlight of the trip and definitely a place worth visiting!

Getting to Pisang Island requires a boat ride from the mainland - normally with one of the local fishing boats. There is accommodation on the island, however, we opted to make it a day trip.
