More context and information are now available in regards to the public spat between PirateSoftware and former Intrepid Studios community manager Margaret Krohn regarding 'bad actors' from KiwiFarms. PirateSoftware had previously claimed being harassed by people affiliated with KiwiFarms while he was playing Alpha 2 Ashes of Creation. Avoch and Irishkiwi are former AOC players who have now come forward to share their side of the story, refuting Pirate's claims but also at the same time supporting and contradicting BOTH Margaret's and Pirate's accounting of the events that had transpired before Ashes of Creation imploded.
There are also some things mentioned by four different parties that point to Intrepid Studios and Ashes of Creation just not being equipped at all to handle moderation or customer support for a game in an active alpha. I think that in itself is troubling and a potential red flag for what was to come. I'm sure the moderators and staff tried their best but when the issue is systemic because of faulty infrastructure, efforts don't really equate to results.
