Pirates of the Caribbean: Battle for the Sunken Treasure at Shanghai Disneyland in Treasure Cove is widely considered one of the most technologically advanced dark rides ever built by Disney. The ride combines massive physical sets, projection mapping, underwater effects, motion base ride vehicles, and giant screen environments to create scenes that genuinely feel impossible the first time you experience them. Unlike the classic Pirates rides at the other Disney parks, this version is built almost entirely around Jack Sparrow and massive action set pieces, and it completely redefines what a Disney boat ride can be.
