In today’s video, I talk about why piracy is not always as black and white as people make it out to be, especially when it comes to inaccessible media, lost media, alternate versions, and preservation. From original broadcast audio in Dragon Ball to different cuts and versions of films like Star Wars, I look at how official releases do not always give collectors and fans the version they are actually looking for, even when they already own the movie through legitimate means.

I also talk about the broader issue of access, ownership, and preservation, and why unofficial sources can sometimes become part of the conversation when media is unavailable, altered, or no longer properly represented through official channels.
