Kim Smith | Piping Plover Hip Hop Catching Up! @KimSmithDesigns | Uploaded July 2022 | Updated October 2024, 12 hours ago.
Thirty-five day old Piping Plover Hip Hop's foot was injured in his first week. He is about ten days behind in development, compared to his siblings, but is catching up. Plovers begin stretching their tiny wing buds within hours after hatching. Hip Hop does a little flutter hop with outstretched wings, a good sign he is on his way to flying.
