Learn how to control the LED ring light that should be placed around the Rotary Encoder or Potentiometer, and has 32 small yellow LEDs - 31 tickmarks and one dot. This time, we will be using the multiplexing chip MAX7219, that can be bought very cheaply together with PCB and all the required components. We will create a custom PCB in KiCad to place the LED ring light and Potentiometer and replace the 8x8 LED Matrix Display.
