Recently several new route improvements have been found on this game (especially a major out of bound glitch on Distant Tundra), which got me interested again into running it. I took the opportunity and beat JHawk record by a few seconds, but this could definitely go lower.
The distant tundra oob was theorised and then applied by a talented runner / glitch hunter named Aperson13, many thanks to him! Several smaller route improvements were found by JHawk, Dodiou, max25 and jay596. The combination of those improvements make 46: really possible, so stay tuned on Twitch for improvements:
