New route variation based on TRR's early yellow route for RTA, but fixed so that it makes a little more sense for a real run.
It's definitely faster than the other route, I've had noon where I was at the white gate before. The problem is the skill gap/ knowledge requirement/ trick dependency is so high. If your pellet push is slow, that's pure timeloss and there's nothing you can do to avoid bad RNG which equates to potentially 25 or more seconds of variance. I can't imagine getting much faster than the 1:06 onion activation, which roughly ties what TRR got in his LOTAD of the route.
Also I think the bulborb ride to get to base faster is cool, it doesn't save much time actually, the timesave you get is from having flowered yellows and having already bombed the landing site gate, allowing you to pluck later and still get the EFD cutscene skip.
I definitely messed up a bit, I didn't need to pluck as many pikmin as I did in the later part of the day but this sort of thing will come with route experience.
If you're on much faster pace, you have to do sag last as the bridge will be taking much longer to finish even with 10-5, I considered it in the moment but just went for the bridges, and messed it up a bit. I can't really spare even more pikmin for the bridge, so this will have to be an ongoing struggle.

iid01 was the first to seriously consider going for cutscene skips, but the method was luck based and made use of mashing A.
I was first to route in all area cutscene skips and came up with setups for all areas. I also discovered that it was often preferable to use a part for the textboxes, though I didnt know why.
Jhawk discovered the method for cutscene skips used today, in which you time your A press for perfect buffers, and forcibly routed in more cutscene skips. He also proved that parts buffer 2 frames, therefore being the preferred choice.
Seriously, practice this and you will save over a minute in your runs easily. Cutscene skips are pretty important at the top level, and theres no reason you shouldnt skip half of them with this consistent buffer method.
Just practice timing the A press, dont spam A after you close the textbox. Take time to put all the parts in the landing site, go to sunset, then practice skipping with proper timing. Youll get the hang of it! Its really not that hard.
