Pikes Peak 2021 was a whirlwind of no sleep and crucial deadlines. Usually we make time for interviews but this year was intense and every minute counted. This impromptu video serves as our only live interview during race week. It explains our motivations, our mission, our excitement about Tesla Plaid technology, and represents our anxious excitement leading up to race day. The interview ironically was filmed at a Pikes Peak fan event held in front of Porsche Colorado Springs. We had a little joking fun with the fact that we had our Plaid Tesla Model S parked in front of the Porsche dealership and drawing a crowd. It is all one family though as the Porsche dealership is owned by our Colorado Springs partner who also owns our UP dealer and Pikes Peak home base facility Eurocars Collision. Eurocars is our UP dealer and they also are a Tesla Authorized Body Shop.

This video was filmed and hosted by Andrew Soeldner and Raj Ramaurti. Andrew and Raj are Colorado Springs local Tesla owners and were there for us last year when we had our crash/rebuild. In our eyes these guys represent the awesomeness of the Tesla community that we love. They've been there for us in good times and bad. It was a joy for us to talk with them and they caught us in a rare moment of downtime where we could chat. We also afterwards got Andrew a crew pass and had him join our team for race day. If we could have we would have obtained crew passes for everyone in the community to join us. We really feel the support and think of all of the community as part of our UP family. Thank you all! We are eternally grateful for the Tesla community.
Shortly after this video our driver @randypobstofficial and our monster machine Dark Helmet won a decisive victory in our class exhibition class at @pikespeakhillclimb1916. It was a wonderful ending to a tremendous challenge that we enjoyed fighting every minute of.
