PIKACHU HARD CARRIES ON THIS SWORDFISH TEAM | 2025 VGC REG I
Howdy Ho, YouTube! Today, I am using a team that I found on Twitter. It has a Pikachu on it. Let's get into it.
Swordfish is a nickname for teams with Zacian and Kyogre as their restricted pair. This is a standard Zacian with Tera Fighting, Sacred Sword for surprise damage. The Kyogre is also a standard Assault Vest set, but it is faster than most other Kyogre. It even has a Timid nature! However, Pikachu is the star. Fast Fake Out gives it immediate utility in battle, and Nuzzle offers speed control. The Pikachu has 0 HP IVs and imperfect defensive IVs, so it can be brought to Sash easier and get a huge Endeavor off.
Galarian Moltres is underexplored in Regulation I, in my opinion. This set features Covert Cloak and Tailwind for speed control, as well as Hurricane, which complements Kyogre's ability to set up rain. The Amoonguss is almost standard, but it has Foul Play over Protect, which is massively helpful in Trick Room, since Calyrex Ice is the main Trick Room sweeper. Finally, we have Power Bracer, Trick Grimmsnarl, because we love being the villain.
