i had a dream where my d&d character's lover, laiken died of an illness when he was around 60. lucien swore his life to becoming a skilled enough druid to use true resurrection. after months of training with a tiefling who was a master druid, he finally learned how to do it. when he finally cast the spell and brought laiken back, laiken was shocked and upset rather than happy. however, he slowly realized how much luc had missed him, and learned to accept that he was alive again. however, he made luc promise never to do it again, since he would surely outlive him, him being an elf and laiken being human. they live happily together after this
