Porcellio dilatatus ‘Giant Canyon’ is a great isopod for many cleanup crew (CUC) situations in Bioactive vivariums. There are relatively few morphs of this species in the hobby (such as P. dilatatus ‘Rust’, but I have this white/pale specimen, as well as some pied specimens. This may not be heritable (acanthocephalan parasites, for example, can cause reduction in pigmentation), but we’ll see, now that I know that all of these individuals are males, if we can pair the, with wild type females and get a new Porcellio dilatatus morph isolated!
